RO SC D4223 is part of REDA Energy’s industrial demulsifier range ideally suited to the treatment of waste oils, hydrocarbons, emulsified slops, and other hard-to-break emulsions.
Within waste oil/hydrocarbon processing, waste oil is typically dehydrated using a combination of heat, demulsifier chemicals, and settling. REDA Energy can provide an assessment of waste oil or slops treatment processes which involve a system review and development of a bespoke chemical treatment package, with the aim of:
● Reducing chemical treatment volumes; lowering the volume of demulsifier required.
● Reducing energy requirements; more effective chemical treatment can allow for lower temperatures to be used in the treatment process.
● Increasing throughput; reduce the time required for effective dehydration/separation to take place.
● When used in a waste oil processing operation for one of our UK-based customers, RO SC D4223 has achieved:
● 30% reduction in chemical use when compared to the incumbent.
● 16% reduction in treatment temperature.
● The residence time was significantly reduced.
● Processed hydrocarbons were effectively dehydrated.
RO SC D4223 treatment was implemented in all dehydration processes and has resulted in lower treatment costs achieved by reducing chemical use and reducing the energy requirement.
RO SC D4221 is a formulated crude oil demulsifier developed to act on hard-to-break emulsions, typically in heavy oils or where a high-water cut is present. RO SC D4221 can be deployed in standard separation processes and is particularly suited to storage tank applications, where there are long retention times to reduce water content in out-of-spec oil. RO SC D4221 will coalesce and drop water from the produced emulsions, resulting in low BS & W levels and a clean interface with excellent produced water quality.
